1.1. Overall Objectives
To establish the Vietnam Hydrogen Corporation (VH2) with the aim of:
- Becoming a leading enterprise in Vietnam and the ASEAN region in the production, storage, distribution, and application of hydrogen across industrial, transportation, food, healthcare, chemical, and energy sectors.
- Building and operating a comprehensive hydrogen ecosystem, ranging from the exploration and extraction of natural hydrogen and the production of green hydrogen using advanced technologies to the distribution of equipment and end-use applications.
- Promoting the green energy transition and realizing the National Hydrogen Energy Development Strategy through 2030, with a vision to 2050.
1.2. Specific Objectives by 2035
- Capture at least a 20% market share of industrial hydrogen production and distribution in Vietnam.
- Invest in and operate at least three green hydrogen production plants with a total capacity of 10,000 tons per year.
- Complete at least two natural hydrogen exploration and extraction projects.
- Distribute and deploy at least 500 hydrogen-powered vehicles (buses, trucks, bicycles, scooters, and drones).
- Establish strategic partnerships with at least five leading global technology corporations.
1.3. Vision
By 2040, VH2 aims to be a leading Asian multinational green energy corporation, connecting technology and capital from partners in Japan, South Korea, Germany, and Singapore with Vietnam's abundant renewable energy potential and geological hydrogen resources. VH2 aims to become a comprehensive hydrogen solutions provider, actively contributing to Vietnam's net-zero emissions goal by 2050.
