VH2 will handle the distribution, installation, maintenance, and technology transfer across the entire hydrogen value chain.
Hydrogen Production Equipment
- Electrolysis: Alkaline Water Electrolysis (AWE), Proton Exchange Membrane (PEM), Anion Exchange Membrane (AEM), and Solid Oxide Electrolysis Cell (SOEC).
- Photocatalysis Technology: Distribution and integration of photoreactor panel systems that produce hydrogen directly from sunlight and water, bypassing electrolysis. Developed by research institutes such as KIT (Germany), this technology significantly reduces operational complexity and costs, making it suitable for small- and medium-scale plants in off-grid locations.
- Integrated Separation, Storage, and Transport Technology (Hydrilyte): Distribution of systems utilizing metal hydride powder suspended in mineral oil to separate and store hydrogen in a stable solid form directly at the wellhead or production source. Hydrogen is absorbed into the powder within the liquid medium, allowing for safe transport via tanker trucks at ambient temperature and atmospheric pressure. This technology is currently being commercialized and is expected to grow rapidly over the next decade, effectively resolving logistics challenges for both natural and green hydrogen.
- Reforming: Steam Methane Reforming (SMR) and Partial Oxidation (POX) equipment.
- Biomass Gasification: Biomass gasification systems for hydrogen production.
Storage and Transport Equipment
- High-pressure hydrogen tanks (Types 1–4: steel, composite, polymer).
- Liquid hydrogen tanks (cryogenic tanks).
- Adsorption-based storage systems (metal hydrides, carbon, MOFs).
- Tankers for transporting gaseous and liquid hydrogen.
- Specialized gas pipelines.
End-Use Equipment
- Hydrogen trucks: Hydrogen fuel cell trucks from manufacturers such as Hyundai, Toyota, and Daimler.
- Hydrogen buses: Hydrogen-powered buses deployed for pilot operations in major cities.
- Hydrogen drones: Hydrogen-powered industrial drones offering long flight times (hours) for agriculture, surveying, and transport.
- Hydrogen bicycles and scooters: Eco-friendly, lightweight mobility solutions for tourism and urban markets.
- Fuel cell generators: Portable and stationary generators for residential, industrial, and backup power applications.
